Participate in Moon Camp and design a space habitat!

Take on a new space adventurer role with your team and design a habitat on the lunar surface or go beyond the Moon and explore other worlds in our Solar System. Select the topic and format that best fits your team and get creative! Your project can range from:

  • scientific experiments
  • hands-on arts & crafts projects
  • rovers and robots
  • 3D designs
  • 3D printed models
  • game-based design and immersive worlds

 … and much more!!

Moon Camp is a partnership between ESA and the national ESEROs and the Airbus Foundation. All teams that submit a project will receive a participation certificate and will be invited to the final online livestream event with an astronaut.

Fast Facts

Level: beginners to advanced, your team chooses how complex the project will be

 Age range: up to (and including) 19 years old

 Language: language of their choice

 Submission format: short description of the project, including supporting elements such as images, or a video, or a 3D design object.

 Registrations: open from 11 September 2025 to 27 July 2026 (23:59 CET).

 Mid-year online event with a space expert: February 2026 (date TBC), open to all interested students and teachers/educators.

 Final online event with an astronaut: June 2026 (date TBC), open to all the participants that submitted a project.

  Submitted projects are published in the Project Gallery.

 Certificates: All teams will receive a participation certificate once the project is published in the project gallery.
